Ingram Micro and Tianjin Tianhai Investment Company announced that they have entered into a definitive merger agreement under which Tianjin Tianhai will acquire Ingram Micro for $38.90 per share in an all-cash transaction with an equity value of approximately $6 billion. Upon close of the merger, Ingram Micro will become a part of HNA Group, a Hainan-based Fortune Global 500 enterprise group focused on aviation, tourism, and logistics. In 2015, HNA Group had revenue of $29 billion and nearly 180,000 employees worldwide.

It used to be that Macs were only in schools or used at home. Today, Macs have entered the workplace and need to be managed and monitored just like PCs. With that need in mind, LOGICnow has announced the introduction of remote management capability for the Mac platform and that it has acquired Mac-MSP, a provider of Apple Mac-centric SaaS tools for MSPs. These two developments will enable MSPs using the LOGICnow platform to deliver support for both Macs and PCs, helping them to differentiate their services and support clients more effectively.
