During the Autotask Community Live event in Miami, I had the chance to catch up with Maurice Saluan of Zenith InfoTech. He and his team were talking cloud at the managed services event, sharing information at the Zenith Mirror Cloud product, a hybrid solution that virtualized customer environments on-premise, then “mirrors” that data to a redundant, secure data center — the cloud — for business continuity. -

A first impression can be an iffy thing. You can hit it out of the ballpark, or miss your mark entirely. For new Autotask CEO Mark Cattini, the pressure was on at the third annual Autotask Community Live partner event in Miami to make a strong, and positive, first impression. In my opinion, he hit a walk-off homerun. -

One big announcement on the first full day at the Autotask Community Live 2011 event was the launch of the MSP Trustmark accreditation from CompTIA. Spreading the word was Bob Godgart, who is chairing CompTIA this year, along with Jacob Braun, CEO of Waka Digital Media and a member of the CompTIA MSP community's executive council, and Ted Roller, channel chief for Intronis and chair of the MSP community under CompTIA's umbrella. -
