According to Ponemon Institute’s 2016 State of Cybersecurity in Small & Medium-Sized Businesses report, no business is too small to evade a cyberattack or data breach. In fact, 55 percent of survey respondents said their companies had experienced a cyberattack in the past 12 months, and 50 percent reported they had data breaches involving customer and employee information in the past 12 months. CompTIA’s 2016 International Trends In Cybersecurity report shows even higher numbers, with 73 percent reporting having at least one security breach/ incident in the past 12 months.
