Survey results indicate that IT solutions providers could be missing opportunities when it comes to payment security-related services.

For the third consecutive year, Business Solutions conducted a survey of its readers on the topic of retail and payment data security. As with the surveys the prior two years, we questioned VARs, ISOs, and ISVs about their sales and understanding of payment security-related technologies such as P2PE (point-to-point encryption), tokenization, EMV, and more. Additionally, we asked about their current antivirus strategies and sought to understand the needs of their merchant customers. This year’s results from 125 solutions providers shed light on some interesting trends that make it clear that — for many of them — there’s plenty of room for improvement and growth, particularly since they admit that security is a serious concern.
