Let's face it, the EMV®* rollout in the United States wasn’t the smoothest. Looking back to 2014, everyone in the industry (this magazine included) was preaching the importance of EMV and the need to attend to the (then) upcoming liability shift of October 2015. Unfortunately, as history now shows, misinformation and a lack of ready-for-market EMV solutions created a nightmare for VARs and software developers.
