RSPA Membership Honors Business Solutions Magazine With Gold Award For 4th Consecutive Year


Business Solutions magazine recently won the 2013 Gold Vendor of Excellence award in the customer support category from the Retail Solutions Providers Association (RSPA). The RSPA Vendor of Excellence awards are the only awards in the retail technology industry where dealers, VARs, and software developers vote for their favorite vendors (one vote per member company). The Gold award, which Business Solutions won for the fourth straight year, is the highest given in its category and was presented during RetailNOW 2013 in Las Vegas.

"This award is extra special to us because it’s voted on by RSPA members," says Jim Roddy, president of Business Solutions magazine. "Our goal is to serve the channel, and to get a ‘thumbs up’ four years in a row from the RSPA members motivates us even more to keep doing that."

“Winning the gold validates that our editorial efforts are paying off," says Mike Monocello, editor-in-chief of Business Solutions. “There are no indicators better than this award that show we’re the retail channel’s preferred and most trusted media source.”

In addition to winning the Gold award, Business Solutions magazine had a busy and successful RetailNOW 2013. Monocello moderated a panel discussion on the topic of the “as a service” model and was named chairperson of the RSPA Vendor Working Group, a committee composed of the vendor members of the RSPA.

Roddy moderated a panel on the secret of achieving staff buy-in (with special focus on the “as a service” model). Additionally, Roddy was named chairperson-elect and will serve as chairman of the RSPA board beginning in August 2014. He currently holds a position on the RSPA board of directors.
