POS Integrator Wins Big With Restaurant Installation

A POS hardware and software upgrade for a local restaurant led to a video surveillance upsell and planned mobile POS implementation.

According to Bret Gundlach, president of TransformPOS, Madison, WI, is a city renowned for the quality and quantity of its great restaurants, and The Old Fashioned is probably the best-known restaurant in the city. “Every list of ‘restaurants not to miss’ or ‘great restaurants in Madison’ includes The Old Fashioned,” he says. So, it’s no surprise that Gundlach sees his recent POS and video surveillance installation for the restaurant as a huge feather in the cap of his company.

Gundlach recalls his first meetings with the restaurant management, who contacted him based on word-of-mouth recommendations from the POS systems integrator’s existing customers. “They had an aging POS system with hardware that was failing, out-of-date software, and poor service from their existing POS provider,” he says. “As if the failing system wasn’t enough to prompt a change, the restaurant also recognized that their current software was not meeting the needs of their high-volume business.”
