A POS veteran uses POS-as-a-Service deals to help customers with no credit while building his recurring revenue.

Mel Welch, owner of Bi-State Point of Sale Solutions, has been selling POS for more than 40 years. It’s safe to say that he’s been part of all of the most significant transitions that have occurred in this industry over the years. This even includes one of the most recent trends of selling POS-as-a-Service. According to Welch, this model has helped him target new customer segments while building a stable revenue stream. Bi-State recently completed one of these installs for a restaurant in Indiana, and it serves as a good example of how this model can be beneficial to both the VAR and his customers.
