SolarWinds Unveils MSP N-central 11

SolarWinds MSP recently announced the next generation of the company’s remote monitoring and management (RMM) platform, SolarWinds MSP N-central 11. The solution is designed to simplify and automate the day-to-day management of core IT services. New features include integrated SolarWinds MSP Backup & Recovery, custom PSA integration, and role-based permissions to help MSPs provide a superior customer experience, streamline operational costs, and deliver peace of mind through greater security measures and proactive management.

MSP N-central 11 is highlighted by the integration of MSP Backup & Recovery into the RMM platform. MSP Backup & Recovery gives MSPs the ability to deploy, manage, and report with a direct-to-cloud solution that can be tailored to suit even the most demanding backup and recovery tasks. With only a few clicks, MSPs can deploy the software to its managed devices, select files and folders — or a full system to back up — and instantly have the critical contents of its end-users’ devices safely stored offsite in the cloud. Recovery is also streamlined, either directly from the offering’s locally stored “Local Speed Vault” or from the cloud storage itself.

The platform’s new role-based user permissions are designed to bring new levels of security to MSPs. With this feature, MSPs can create groups and user profiles and gain greater precision when it comes to granting selective access to core functions within the MSP N-central server. All user permissions can be set up easily within the RMM console, making it simple to arrange tighter control over technician access.

Enghouse Interactive Introduces New Proactive Outbound Service

Enghouse Interactive recently unveiled its Proactive Outbound Platform for Service Provider (POP4SP) solution, a cloud-based, multi-channel outbound notification solution. Industry analysts estimate that the Applications-as-a-Service market will grow at 21 percent compound annual growth rate (CAGR) through the end of the decade. Built for multi-tenant environments, POP4SP allows service providers to increase revenue by providing innovative cloud services to existing customers, as well as create opportunities to attract new business.

Companies need a notification solution but do not want to incur capital expenditures for infrastructure, ongoing operation, and maintenance. With POP4SP, service providers can offer a complete notification solution to their clients as a service from the cloud, or as an on-premises solution tailored to specific use cases. The option for hybrid cloud offerings allows many different use cases and the opportunity for service providers to build a robust channel ecosystem.

In addition to high usage in asset recovery, there are numerous scenarios that validate the need for outbound notifications. Retail banks that proactively notify customers when their checking balances are low, or when payments are due, help prevent overdraft and late fees. In advance of extreme weather events or in case of natural disasters, emergency teams, municipal organizations, and utility providers can alert subscribers to potential power outages while providing recommended precautionary measures.
