BSM April Issue Preview
By The Business Solutions Network
If you don't know, we work pretty far in advance on our print publication, Business Solutions magazine. In fact, next week we begin the layout (meaning, all the articles will be written and edited, and photos are collected) and send the digital files to our printer.
This month's issue features our annual Partner Program Insider (known in the past as our Guide To VAR Programs). From an editorial aspect, Editor Jay McCall and I gathered industry research on such hot verticals as healthcare, education, government, and retail to give our readers some direction on where those industries are spending their IT budgets. You'll also find overviews of the partner programs in the issue of some of today's manufacturers. The goal of this special insert is to give you ideas of where you might be able to focus your business and then put you in front of some manufacturers who can help you get there. Click here to read last year's Partner Program Insider.
Apart from the Partner Program Insider, this issue highlights some pretty interesting and successful VARs. For instance, we catch up with powerhouse integrator Stratix (last seen in our May 2008 issue in "Dominate the Field Service Market") and learn how they're using their new Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) solution to grow their business in 2012.
We've also got a great feature on SMB-focused Guardian Network Solutions. Here are some quick stats on this network security VAR:
[unordered_list style="star"]
- Founded: 2010
- 2011 sales revenue: $1.2 million
- 2011 sales growth rate: 323%
- 2012 projected sales revenue: $4.5 million
- 2012 projected sales growth rate: 375%
- Employees: 8

Pretty crazy, right? You definitely don't want to miss this article once the magazine hits your desk.
Finally, we take a look at POS of Michigan in the upcoming issue. This VAR is representative of many POS VARs in today's channel as it has a leadership mix that includes new school and old school, and is leveraging time-tested sales techniques to sell the latest (mobile loyalty, online ordering, remote monitoring) POS technologies.
As always, we make sure you get the latest issue before the first day of that month. So, keep an eye on your mailbox the last week of March for this stacked April issue!
