Beyond POS: Selling The Diversity Of Your Skillset

By Matt Pillar, chief editor

The sole proprietor of Harbortouch Lehigh Valley blends technical and creative skills to offer a unique set of services to a diverse client base.

Restaurant owners in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania know Michael V. Pavuk as a hospitality POS (point of sale) guy. Manhattan and San Francisco advertising executives know him as an IT consultant. With the exception of cables, computers, bits and bytes, these two facets of Pavuk’s professional personality look pretty polar opposite.

Pavuk, however, is anything but bipolar. He’s an independent problem solver for hire, and the seemingly distinct lifestyle businesses he runs are both growing and converging. Pavuk is founder of both Harbortouch Lehigh Valley, a POS provider, and Technology Fits, LLC, a technology and Web development company, and he’s projecting to follow up the 80 percent revenue growth he saw in 2015 with 100 percent revenue growth this year.
