Even in today’s competitive market, cloud-based disaster recovery and backup — as well as recovery providers — have not been able to provide a complete, end-to-end solution for partners who service the SMB. How to do just that was the topic of Data Deposit Box President, COO & Director Troy Cheeseman’s talk, Simple, Smart Data Protection Built For SMBs given during the second day of The ASCII Success Summit – Rhode Island held October 13 — 14 at the Hyatt Regency Newport.

Cheeseman advises you provide your SMB clients with a solution designed for them, noting there are over 28,000,000 SMBs in the U.S. alone — many wanting to take advantage of the cloud opportunity.

To design specific solutions, you have to help your clients understand their risks by selling on facts. You also need to turn complexity into simplicity by offering simple and flexible options. You must also provide bare-metal recovery technology (disk imaging, bootable images, etc.), file-based technology, and API-based technology for larger, more complex application disaster recovery.

The ASCII Success Summit — Rhode Island is being held October 13 — 14 at the Hyatt Regency Newport. It is the final of nine solution provider-focused conferences ASCII hosted in North America in 2016. For more information on ASCII, go to www.BSMinfo.com/go/InsideASCII.
