Axis Introduces 4K PTZ Dome, Thermal Bullet Cameras

Axis Communications recently unveiled the latest addition to its AXIS Q61 series of pan, tilt, zoom (PTZ) dome network cameras. With video quality in 4K Ultra HD resolution and high-speed pan, tilt, and zoom (12x optical) functions, the new AXIS Q6128-E is designed for both indoor and outdoor installations, in low light, and challenging environmental conditions such as shopping malls, parking lots, and sports stadiums, as well as city and perimeter surveillance.

The camera will function in temperatures ranging from -58˚F to 122˚F and features automatic defog. Like all cameras in the AXIS Q61 Series, AXIS Q6128-E supports electronic image stabilization for smooth video even in scenes with lots of motion.

Axis also announced its new Q1941-E thermal network camera. The bullet-style IP camera is designed for perimeter protection of facilities where early detection of an intrusion attempt is critical. The camera offers 384 x 288 thermal resolution and image contrast for detection and verification. Five different lens alternatives (7 mm, 13 mm, 19 mm, 35 mm, and 60 mm) are available and Axis Zipstream technology analyzes and optimizes the video stream in real time to preserve interesting details and motion with full image quality and resolution, while compressing static areas, such as white walls or vegetation, at a higher rate. This reduces the bandwidth and storage required.
