More than a decade ago, I left the life of a VAR to become an editor with Business Solutions magazine. In the years since, I’ve written thousands of articles and interviewed hundreds of solutions providers. I’ve logged quite a few miles in the air and have attended conferences in some great places. I’ve learned a lot about what it takes to be successful as a solutions provider — things that would have been helpful to know when I was a VAR. I’ve covered acquisitions, witnessed amazing tech advances, seen fads fizzle, and watched as trends made some rich and others poor. It’s never been dull due to the constant change that’s taken place.
