Webinar Offers Tips For Finding Money From Life Sciences Investors

There is stiff competition among entrepreneurs for investment dollars for startups targeting the life sciences market. SecureDocs and Life Science Nation are hosting a webinar that will help startups learn how to secure funds. SecureDocs, a secure virtual data room for storing and sharing sensitive business documents, and Life Science Nation, a platform for connecting life science companies to products, services, and capital have teamed up to offer best practices for raising capital among domestic and international investors in the life science arena.

As part of the webinar, presenters will discuss how to identify investors in the life science space; understand the investor types and new players; determine whether a potential investor is a good fit; market your opportunity effectively; and close a deal.

It also includes important tips for raising capital, such as:

  • get started long before you actually need the capital
  • understand what the investors mandate is and who is the best fit for your technology
  • creating an initial message that is cogent and brief
  • staying flexible to different types of partnership structures

Michael Quigley, director of research for Life Science Nation (LSN), will present the webinar. He also is the co-editor of LSN’s Next Phase Newsletter, which highlights recent discoveries from the life science private investment ecosystem.
