Video: Providing EMV Education To Merchants Can Benefit IT Solutions Providers
RSPA launched its 2015 initiative to provide EMV education with the panel discussion “EMV & The POS Ecosystem: Forming effective partnerships and capitalizing on the EMV shift opportunity” at INSPIRE 2015 on Jan. 28 in Maui, HI.
The panel, moderated by RSPA CEO and president Kelly Funk, included John Badovinic, senior manager of acquirer relations at Discover Financial Services, Paul Leduc president of Globe POS Systems, Matt Downs SVP of channel — integrated payments for Vantiv of Mercury, and Chester Ritchie SVP at WorldPay.
Business Solutions provides exclusive video on advice from Leduc, who says he was able to help merchants during the transition to EMV in Canada by providing a synopsis that defined the liability shift means and the security aspects of EMV. “That’s what the merchant really wants,” he comments. He added that providing information to merchants was also a good way to win business.
