At the Retail IT VAR Of The Future Conference, May 12 to 13 at Bally’s, Las Vegas, Kevin Kogler, president of Microbiz, said to remain competitive in a time of change, retail VARs need to think of themselves as providers of business solutions, not as technology providers.

In this segment of BSMtv, Kogler says, “Really be more of a trusted advisor for all the things that are needed to run a retail business.”

He acknowledges, however, with the retail environment changing — the way shoppers engage with retailers is evolving with the growing use of mobile technology — VARs will need to adapt to changes. “Be flexible, embrace change, and understand the problems your customers are experiencing and how you can provide solutions to solve these challenges,” Kogler says.

Retail IT VAR Of The Future, powered by Business Solutions, was held May 12-13, 2015, at Bally’s, Las Vegas. Platinum Sponsors: BlueStar, Mercury, ScanSource, Worldpay. Gold Sponsor: Moneris. Silver Sponsors: AML, Axis, Check Point, Code, Creditcall, CRS, Intuit, RPOWER. Industry Association Sponsor: RSPA.
