Trustwave And CounterTack Team To Reduce Impact Of Data Breaches

Alliance Expands Portfolio of Trustwave Managed Security Services Worldwide, Brings Endpoint Detection and Response Capabilities to Asia-Pacific Market through Singtel

Trustwave and CounterTack recently announced a new alliance to help businesses minimize the impact of data security breaches by speeding incident detection and response times. Through the alliance, CounterTack endpoint detection and response (EDR) security technologies will be available worldwide as a new managed security service from Trustwave, a leading cybersecurity and managed security services provider. Trustwave’s parent company Singtel is also now the exclusive Asia-Pacific distributor of CounterTack EDR technology.

The new Trustwave Managed Endpoint Detection & Response service, which will feature CounterTack’s Sentinel and Active Defense endpoint security technologies, can help identify behaviors and footprints commonly associated with sophisticated and never-before-seen attacks and help immediately contain and rapidly respond to the incident. The new Trustwave service provides a robust set of endpoint security capabilities that businesses need, without requiring them to install and manage technologies themselves, or retain and train staff to run and configure those systems.

Trustwave will leverage Singtel’s extensive customer reach in the Asia-Pacific region to facilitate the roll-out of CounterTack’s Sentinel and Active Defense platforms, as well as its Responder PRO forensic and incident response tool. With Singtel’s support, Trustwave will provide enterprises with CounterTack’s solutions in Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

Trustwave Chief Executive Officer and President Robert J. McCullen, said, “CounterTack has a solid set of endpoint technologies that, offered as an enterprise-grade managed security service through Trustwave, can help improve self-detection rates and reduce response times thereby reducing the impact of malicious attacks. This alliance is another demonstration of how Trustwave is leading the industry in offering innovative security technologies as managed security services designed to help businesses fight cybercrime, protect data and reduce security risk.”

Increasingly enterprises are turning to managed security services as their preferred cybersecurity deployment model. According to the 2016 Security Pressures Report from Trustwave, 86% of cybersecurity professionals already partner or plan to partner with a managed security services provider in 2016. According to Gartner, “by 2020, 40% of all security technology acquisitions will be directly influenced by managed security service providers (MSSPs) and on-premises security outsourcing providers, up from less than 15% today.”[1]

CounterTack Chief Executive Officer Neal Creighton, said, “Our partnership with Trustwave and Singtel is based on the fact that endpoint attacks are rapidly changing and often do not contain indicators of compromise, like APT’s, zero-days and targeted malware attacks, that defeat traditional and other next-generation endpoint security solutions. CounterTack’s rich endpoint data will contribute to the real-time threat correlation, situational awareness and rapid response capabilities delivered by Trustwave to its customers for added visibility and capability to effectively manage security at the endpoint and reduce the impact of data security breaches.”
