Trace Affex Teams with Kodak Service and Support
Trace Affex (www.traceaffex.com) and Eastman Kodak Company's Kodak Service and Support (www.Kodak.com/go/us-di) have signed an agreement to provide field service and installation for one of the most advanced, fully automated and unattended CD-R/DVD-R duplication and printing systems (the APS-2002). This agreement will extend the ability of Trace Affex to provide on-site repairs within one business day, eliminating time and expense for the customer to ship essential equipment back to the factory for repair or upgrades. Kodak Service and Support was chosen by Trace Affex for their ability to respond quickly with professional service capabilities as well as for their worldwide infrastructure.
"Reducing customers' total cost of ownership by increasing productivity, serviceability, reliability and ease of use, is cornerstone to our mission. " states Brian McCarthy, Trace Affex vice president of sales and marketing. "We started this concept one year ago by combining the Trace Affex CD-Artist printer, which is based on HP's award winning 900 series printer engine, with our renown Trace Affex robotics to provide a lights out duplication and labeling system. With today's launch, Trace Affex will provide its users with the ability to place a call to our customer service support line to report a problem. If it is determined to be a hardware problem, a Kodak field engineer is dispatched to complete the repair. Kodak Service and Support is a key enhancement to Trace's own in-house support capability."
"We expect this agreement to greatly impact the marketplace and enable our sales channel partners to offer customers a totally integrated solution for their on-demand CD/DVD-R publishing and disc printing needs," explained McCarthy. The Trace Affex APS 2002 system features one of the marketplace's most reliable robotics, 100-disc input, two high-speed CD/DVD-R drives and high-resolution color inkjet technology.
