Papa John's International, Inc. (Nasdaq: PZZA), the third largest pizza company in America and operator of units in 17 international markets, needed a POS printer to integrate into the chain's POS solution — The PROFIT™ System — to meet both domestic and international needs. Specifically, a solution that could seamlessly go from domestic to international without complicated changes. Papa John's needed a solution that included a printer that contained international character fonts for a variety of languages. Papa John's also wanted a printer that could both withstand the rigors of a busy food service environment and possibly be utilized to print pizza box labels as well, all from the same printer. A printer that would efficiently perform both functions would provide printer redundancy at restaurants throughout the chain. A restaurant can use PROFIT without the receipt printer, but would have difficulties without the box label printer.
