The ASCII Group Announces New Vendor Advisory Committee

The ASCII Group, a membership-based community of independent MSPs, VARs and solution providers, is pleased to announce the formation of a new Vendor Advisory Committee. The assembled Committee is made up of ASCII members from IT businesses across North America, and the participants will provide feedback to ASCII staff to identify future programs presented to the community at large.

The directive of the Committee is to have a team of ASCII members investigate and evaluate new and upcoming technologies and vendors. Its purpose is to address the growing business needs of the members and will be structured as a conduit for new concepts to be explored.

“Many of our members have voiced that they would like to play a larger role in evaluating and providing feedback on vendors that are interested in engaging with the larger ASCII community,” said Shannon Mayer, VP Channel Development at The ASCII Group. “We value the opinions of our members, so we created this new committee to help ensure that the vendors who do engage with ASCII will be highly successful in their efforts.”

Vendor Advisory Committee members have the opportunity to help educate fellow ASCII members and their input will be incorporated into future Group decision making.

“Having owned two technology companies over the last fifteen years, I’ve had the opportunity to evaluate many different vendor partners. Those experiences have taught me what to look for in a potential partner, and what parts of a channel program works versus what doesn’t,” said C.J. Ezell, CEO of Point Clear Networks and ASCII member since 2013. “I am happy to provide my opinion on the vendors that want to partner with The ASCII Group. The more feedback we can get to vendors early on, the better they will understand the needs of our members as well as the great opportunities that can come from working with the ASCII community.”
