Presentation highlights how a tier-one research institution scales its delivery of Laserfiche ECM

Long Beach, CA /PRNewswire/ - Laserfiche (booth #521) today announced that Judith Lewis, Senior IT Manager of the IT Solutions and Support group at Texas A&M University, and Robert Hensz, Risk and Compliance Office Program Manager, Texas A&M AgriLife, will co-present an educational session titled "Scaling a Higher Education Enterprise Electronic Content Management (ECM) System" on Friday, November 9, at 8:00 am in Mile High Ballroom 2B/3B during the EDUCAUSE 2012 Annual Conference.

In July 2010, a committee tasked with identifying a preferred provider of document management technology selected Laserfiche to enhance the ability to share documents and workflows across the university system's 1,000+ departments and units, and to reduce costs by eliminating redundant hardware and software systems.

"Adopting an approach to scaling the ECM in an organization the size of the Texas A&M University System is not a simple undertaking," said Lewis. "By identifying successful practices at the local level, Texas A&M was able to accelerate the implementation of Laserfiche ECM for other departments by standardizing where it makes sense, but remaining flexible where it counts at the department level."

Stop by the Laserfiche booth (#521) on November 7th or 8th to pick up your copy of a white paper titled "Implementing ECM as a Shared Service in Higher Education," along with a 12-page overview of how Texas A&M University System members are using Laserfiche. Laserfiche will also host a reception for all EDUCAUSE attendees on Wednesday, November 7, from 6:30 – 8:30 pm at the Colorado Convention Center, Mineral Hall A, Level 3.
