#SupplyChainGeek Network Launched By Barcoding Inc.

By Ally Kutz, contributing writer

A new digital community, called #SupplyChainGeek, has just been launched by Barcoding Inc. #SupplyChainGeek is designed to support collaboration and sharing for workers involved in all aspects of the supply chain.

The community fosters and supports open, innovative, and inspiring dialogue in supply chain management as well as mobile technology practices and thought leadership.

The network is heavily community-based, with an aim at including anyone from supply chain professionals to just those interested in the supply chain, and offers the opportunity to share experience and expertise with others as well as learn from fellow supply chain lovers, or, as affectionately termed by Barcode Inc., geeks.

The network is free to join, giving members access to exclusive discussion boards, webinars, networking, weekly digest emails, and publishing opportunities. Topics range, but include supply chain optimization consumables, logistics, the Internet of Things, and mobile devices. The site will also feature presentations from Barcoding Inc.’s recent Executive Forum 5, and plans to add content as each subsequent event occurs annually.

“Barcoding recognized that the best practices making supply chains more efficient, accurate, and connected are consistent across all industries,” said Jody Costa, marking director for Barcoding, Inc. “While there are numerous organizations and online resources dedicated to industry-specific thought leadership, we saw the need for a digital community where all supply chain leaders can come together to share ideas — no matter if they work in manufacturing, healthcare, warehousing, transportation, or anything in between. The network is also a way to bring Barcoding’s customers and partner community closer together in the spirit of innovation.”
