StorageCraft Announces Distribution Relationship With Exablox

Customers Gain Powerful Secondary Storage Capability Combined with Limitless Scale-out Storage for their Data Protection Needs

StorageCraft CEO Matt Medeiros and Exablox CEO Douglas Brockett recently announced that award-winning StorageCraft solutions are now available as an option for sale with Exablox appliances.

“StorageCraft and Exablox have seen an increase in joint customer and partner engagements resulting in success with mid-tier and enterprise customers,” said Medeiros. “This agreement allows us to formalize that relationship through product integration, marketing and support.”

The relationship with Exablox comes on the heels of StorageCraft’s acquisition of software solutions from Gillware Data Services. Their data analytics capability is a critical component in a more intelligent approach to business continuity. Not all data is equal, and the ability to understand what data needs to be backed up and where to locate that data for the fastest possible recovery and access is critical to today’s organizations.

“Customers have recognized that the gap between primary and secondary storage is disappearing,” said Brockett. “At the same time that data volumes are growing exponentially, backup windows are shrinking dramatically, and recovery requirements are more demanding.  Working together, Exablox and StorageCraft deliver a next-generation solution that addresses this reality. Now, customers can get continuous protection and immediate recovery of their business line server applications and data, combined with deduplicated secondary storage, in a single, scalable solution.”

StorageCraft’s recovery technology gives system administrators and partners the most reliable and flexible recovery and access solutions. This technology is hardware and hypervisor independent on both the backup and restore, which provides incredibly flexible deployment options, ensuring superior recovery times. By capturing only changed sectors, it captures all data while requiring less storage and minimizing replication problems; it protects data throughout the production day, minimizing recovery point objectives (RPO) and recovery time objectives (RTO). Its backups are disaster recovery (DR) capable, meaning any recovery point can become a virtual machine within seconds. Finally, from an ease of use standpoint, there is continuity in the backup process. Whether the system is physical or virtual, it is the same methodology to protect the data. When StorageCraft’s recovery solution is used in combination with Exablox, customers can scale their storage capabilities in a limitless fashion, providing the ultimate in flexibility and performance.

That sentiment was endorsed by Zach Wright, IT Manager at TravisMathew, a long-time StorageCraft and Exablox customer. “We’ve deployed Exablox to get out of the rat-race of chasing forklift upgrades – their scale-out architecture has grown with us as our business has grown, and OneBlox’s continuous data protection protects our file serving information enabling instant recovery,” Wright said. “StorageCraft has been the backbone of our server and client data protection strategy thanks to its 15 minute RPO and instant backups. Further, with OneBlox as the storage target, StorageCraft has eliminated our backup window and continually protects our data, in real-time.”
