Spectra T-Finity Tape Library Named 'Green Product Of The Year' At The Storage Awards

Spectra Logic, celebrating 30 years of data storage innovation, announced recently thatthe Spectra T-Finity tape library has won the "Green Product of the Year" award at the 2010 Storage Awards (Storries VII), held in London. The Spectra T-Finity tape library is now recognized as the industry leader in power efficiency per stored TB of capacity. With a typical power usage of 0.873 kilowatts per hour with heat dissipation at 1.19 BTU/h/TB, the Spectra T-Finity significantly saves versus the closest competitors, which use two to six times more energy per unit of data stored.

Readers of Storage magazine UK nominate and select the winners for outstanding products, services and people by popular vote. More than 25,000 votes were cast in the 2010 awards program.
