SMBs In 2015: IT Budget For Cloud Solutions, Staying Connected

Solutions providers that understand SMBs’ needs for security, cost savings, and increased efficiency can grow their businesses — as well as customer loyalty.

The outlook for the 2015 SMB IT market is optimistic. David Maffei, VP of global channel sales for cloud backup services provider Carbonite, says, “SMB IT budgets are pretty stable.” He cites data from a Spiceworks survey — with more than 90 percent SMB respondents — that indicates the average IT budget for North American companies is slightly more than $300,000. This year, many of those budgets could be earmarked for solutions in the areas of cloud computing and staying connected.
