John Harrison, VP of sales, ScanSource POS & Barcode, U.S./Canada, tells attendees at the ScanSource Worldwide Partner Conference for POS and Barcoding, March 16-18 in Greenville, SC, “EMV is the single biggest opportunity in the point of sale space today.”
To support its partners as they provide EMV-capable payment solutions, Harrison says ScanSource is building a team, strategic partnerships, a program that offers payment flexibility, and real-time support.
Harrison points out VARs not only have an opportunity to sell EMV-capable solutions, but also customers are considering upgrading all equipment as they transition to EMV. He says end users aren’t asking for products, however: “They’re asking you to sell an outcome.”
