RSPA RetailNOW Product Demo: APG Cash Drawer's NetPRO IP-Enabled Cash Drawer

At the recently held RSPA (Retail Solutions Providers Association) RetailNOW in Las Vegas, Business Solutions magazine editor-in-chief Mike Monocello was on hand to see some of the retail industry's latest products. In this video, Monocello is shown a demonstration of APG Cash Drawer's new NetPRO IP-enabled cash drawer.

The NetPRO is a standard APG cash drawer configured with an IP controller that allows the cash drawer to be exposed on a subnet as an IP device. It allows a retailer to make cash transactions directly from an iPad, similar tablet, or a handheld device.  The cash drawer is fitted with a bar code on the front, which is scanned with either the tablet’s camera, or a bluetooth device connected to the tablet, upon completion of the transaction. This prevents the cash drawer from being opened without a cashier in proximity.
