RFID Comes Alive in Denver

On Wednesday April 20th, Cognitive Solutions participated in an RFID event that featured 11 Colorado and nationwide companies demonstrating leading-edge RFID solutions. Cognitive was awarded the "Best Demonstration" certification by event sponsor, Protiviti.

The demonstrating companies included: AccuCode, Cognitive, CSC, Focus Now Solutions, IBM, Intelleflex, Psion Teklogix, Radley, RFID Inc., Sun and TrenStar. The solutions presented comprised of innovative RFID hardware and software ranging from container tracking to inventory management to retail applications.

Cognitive Solutions demonstrated its HF 13.56MHz RFID printer, which uses in a number of applications including healthcare patient identification (wristbands); pharmaceutical labeling, and shipping labeling.

"It was a tremendous opportunity for us to showcase two Colorado companies working together to provide RFID solutions," said Cognitive Director of Product Management Raul Palacios. Cognitive has worked with Skyetek for over a year on the development of the RFID read/write modules for its printer. According to Palacios "the Skyetek RFID read/write modules are compatible with our smaller footprint desktop printer."

The event was hosted by the Colorado RFID Alliance, a professional business organization comprised of industry experts who are passionate about the RFID industry.
