RSPA RetailNOW 2013 plans to educate and empower attendees to be “true solutions providers,” and RetailNOW speakers will provide the inspiration and tools to reach that goal.

The conference, scheduled for Aug. 4-7, 2013 in Las Vegas, will feature a keynote address on Monday, Aug. 5, “Purpose Inspired Growth and Leadership” by Roy Spence. Spence is co-founder and chairman of GSD&M, a national marketing communications and advertising company, and co-author of It’s Not What You Sell, It’s What You Stand For: Why Every Extraordinary Business Is Driven By Purpose.  Spence will challenge attendees that “Winning on Purpose” inspires employee engagement, innovations, and exceptional and sustainable performance. He will explain that organizations and leaders who will create the future will be inspired to improve lives, not as philanthropy, but as a core business strategy. Jim Collins, best-selling author of Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap... and Others Don't says Spence “is dedicated to the idea that true greatness comes in direct proportion to passionate pursuit of a purpose beyond making money and has inspired and changed leaders in every sector.”

Additionally, keynote speaker Bonnie Marcus will present “The Transforming Leader” at the RSPA W2W Breakfast Meeting (for women only) on Tuesday during the conference. Marcus, founder and principal of Women’s Success Coaching, has more than 20 years of sales and management experience, including CEO of a ServiceMaster company and VP of sales at Medical Staffing Network. In Marcus’ interactive presentation at RetailNOW, she will give a structured approach to building and leveraging relationships for career advancement. Her step-by-step process will guide participants to effectively build allies and bridges across an organization — or an industry — and identify a power network to help them reach their goals. Marcus will also show participants how to create a dynamic plan to communicate consistently and clearly with their contacts for increased visibility and credibility. After the 60-minute presentation, there will be a question and answer session and networking.
