Describe the most innovative installation/solution you’ve been involved in recently.

FieldConnect worked with a contracting firm to go from an entirely paper-based field workforce, to mobile reporting and data access for over 200 employees.  The workforce includes sales representatives, construction supervisors, service technicians and management.  Just one of many measurable impacts: Reduction of time to invoice to T&M work went from an average of 14 days to an average of 2 days - and getting shorter every month.

What emerging technology will have the biggest impact on your business and why?

The Internet of Things likely will change much of the Field Service landscape,  With self-diagnosing machines, important metrics like First Call Fix, Mean Time To Repair and employee billable utilization with all improve tremendously.

What about your company culture attracts new employees and helps retrain current ones?

Customer first and speed of innovation. FieldConnect is constantly complimented by our Customers on how quickly we can respond to Customer ideas for improvement.  On average, we release new software monthly.  Each release is composed of enhancements and improvements, almost all of which are suggested by our Customers.

What advice would you give to a VAR/MSP/ISV new to the channel?

Focus not just on your systems, but how you work with the Customer's overall environment.  Deep and seamless automated integration is key. This will become more and more important, in part because it's become a basic expectation of most Customers.
