It took about two weeks for PS^X Inc. to fix the nagging problems that the Allegheny County Housing Authority police department had been having with its security cameras for two years. So when the department, which patrols public housing sites outside Pittsburgh, PA, needed to add cameras and integrate them with the existing system, there was no doubt as to what company would do the work.

The authority’s video surveillance system now includes IP-based cameras and new video management software installed by PS^X, and it has become a model for other law enforcement agencies, says Scot MacTaggart, PS^X’s branch manager for Western Pennsylvania.
