PrehKeyTec Upgrades Business Plan & Facilities
To better serve the changing needs of its North and Latin American customer base, PrehKeyTec has updated its business model. Company President, Stephen Bergeron, stated, “In the past, the nature of our US business required us to maintain assembly and logistics operations in-house to minimize lead times for our custom and semi-custom keyboard configurations. With our new plant and assembly lines in Germany, our lead times have dropped dramatically. This change allowed us to partner with Touchpoint Logistics, a highly regarded Chicago area 3PL, to handle our logistics. We have refocused our goals to better anticipate and identify customer data input needs and trends. We will continue to focus on Application Specific Keyboard (ASK) designs emphasizing customization at the processor level of our keyboard.”
In conjunction with the outsourcing of its logistics, PrehKeyTec will relocate its Americas headquarters from Lake Zurich Illinois to Buffalo Grove. The new facility, located at 1130 West Lake Cook Road, provides PrehKeyTec with easy access to O’Hare airport. Phone and fax numbers remain unchanged for the new offices.
