PAR Announces The Introduction Of The PAR Tablet 8
ParTech, a subsidiary of PAR Technology Corporation, recently announced the release of the PAR Tablet 8. It is designed with features for hospitality and retail applications, such as integrated NFC (near field communication), bar code reading with the camera, and the ability to connect different smart back-cover modules, such as mag-stripe reader and EMV payment, to the tablet. It supports the company’s PixelPoint, TSR, ATRIO Guest Experience Management, and SureCheck applications. Among the ISVs that support the tablet are Brink POS, Gateway Ticketing, ShipRite, TCPOS, and Vista.
Vantiv Solution Facilitates Testing And Certifying For EMV
Vantiv, a provider of payment processing services and related technology solutions for merchants and financial institutions of all sizes, now offers its VIABLE EMV testing platform, a solution for merchants designed for EMV enablement, testing, and validation. Vantiv partnered with ICC Solutions to develop VIABLE and a comprehensive environment that facilitates the EMV certifications of Vantiv merchants and ISVs.
Aldelo Touch Now Supports Star Micronics Mobile Products
Aldelo Touch, a restaurant POS solution designed for Apple’s iPad and iPad Mini, has been updated with support for Star Micronics SM-S220i Bluetooth mobile printer, SM-T300i Bluetooth mobile printer, TSP143LAN Ethernet desktop printer, and DK-AirCash peripheral for secure wireless cash drawer control. Support for these products is included in version 1.2.0 of Aldelo Touch.
Global Payments Introduces Full Acquiring Program For American Express
Global Payments, a payment solutions provider, recently introduced Global Payments Full Acquiring Program for American Express Card acceptance in the United States. This program offers small merchants a single source for payment processing, settlement, a consolidated statement, underwriting, risk management, support, and reporting.
PowaPOS Presents Tablet POS Solution
Powa Technologies now offers a fully integrated tablet-based POS solution. The PowaPOS T-Series integrates all major tablet platforms with a high-speed printer, 2D bar code/QR code scanner, cash drawer, EMV payment terminal, and multiple expansion ports. The optional PowaPIN is the world’s smallest EMV chip-and-PIN acceptance device. Powa Technologies’ partnership with iConnect facilitates software features that include inventory tracking, employee management, multiple language and multilocation support, real-time reporting, CRM, email, and text message marketing. iConnect software also supports online booking and appointments, appointment reminders, and confirmations. POS Portal, which recently became a U.S. distribution partner for PowaPOS, will provide the PowaPOS/iConnect solution to merchants.
iPayment Partners With VeriFone To Offer Tablet POS Solution
VeriFone Systems and iPayment have partnered to offer iPayment POS, a complete tablet POS solution. This solution is a combination of VeriFone’s GlobalBay Merchant technology and iPayment proprietary solutions. The bundle includes iPayment POS software, an iPad, cash drawer, bar code scanner, stand, printer, and a VeriFone PAYware Mobile e100 secure audio reader or the VX 805 PIN Pad. The solution utilizes secure encryption for payment processing and provides a suite of business tools including inventory management, service and appointment scheduling, business analytics, customer management, built-in loyalty, and marketing campaigns. In addition, the VX 805 PIN Pad is able to support NFC, EMV, PIN/debit, and mag-stripe.
