Physical Security & Integrators: Legitimate Trend

Mike Monocello Headshot 110x125

By Mike Monocello, chief editor

Over the years as an editor with Business Solutions magazine, Iive written hundreds of articles on a variety of topics and technologies. However, none have generated the amount of feedback as my recent commentary in our December issue. Entitled "Physical Security: An Opportunity Made For Integrators," the article speaks to the opportunity Business Solutions readers have in winning video surveillance and access control business. As physical security solutions are becoming more reliant on IP networking, integrators are becoming more important. The fact that the article has generated such a large amount of response (all in agreement with the notion that integrators are predominantly the new preferred sales channel) tells me that there's legitimacy to this trend.

In the June 2010 issue of Business Solutions, we began providing editorial coverage of this opportunity to provide education that will help you transition to a physical security integrator. In planning our editorial calendar for 2011, we increased the amount of coverage we're giving to physical security. Indeed, each month you'll find an article that should give you additional knowledge to win in this market.
