Phoenix Managed Networks' PCI-Certified Security Solution Available To BlueStar Partners
Channel partners can take advantage of BlueStar’s partnership with a cloud-based network services and security provider whose solution can help secure your clients’ networks and help keep them in PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliance. Phoenix Managed Networks’ agreement with BlueStar enables partners to sell PhoeniXSentry, the world’s first PCI DSS Level 1-certified network security service.
Gregory Grant, senior director of sales and business development for Phoenix Managed Networks, told Business Solutions at Retail Solutions Providers Association (RSPA) RetailNOW 2015 that your clients could be PCI compliant just by using the solution. When combined with an optional third-party QSA Bundle, PhoeniXSentry can help end users address more than 97 percent of all PCI DSS obligations. This solution offers secure, encrypted connections between business locations, Internet usage and performance reports, content filtering, intrusion detection and prevention, built-in private/guest Wi-Fi connectivity, global redundancy, and a 3G/4G wireless backup connection. Grant adds that Phoenix Managed Networks is the only company that can automatically populate PCI DSS Self-Assessment Questionnaires. “Our service is in control of the PCI environment,” Grant comments.
The solution also scales — for use in sole proprietorships as well as in enterprises with thousands of employees — and it can be used through centralized IT to protect satellite or remote locations. VARs can provide this service — which includes $100,000 in breach protection — to their clients for a monthly fee.
Grant points out that the monthly recurring revenue isn’t the only benefit for solutions providers. “PCI rules have changed. Any company that touches a network can be held responsible for a breach. We absolve [partners] from that risk it they use this service. The partner is no longer responsible,” he explains.
