Paragon Software Group Extends Agreement With ASUS To Deliver Critical Communications Solution For Next-Generation Linux-Based Wireless Network Products

Agreement Gives ASUS Customers Full Read-Write Access to Both Windows NTFS and Mac HFS+ Formatted Storage on Linux Platforms

Paragon Software Group, a leader in data protection, backup and disaster recovery (BDR), recently announced it has extended its technology agreement with ASUS to give ASUS customers across consumer and business markets a convenient way to attach and access their Windows NTFS formatted, and now, Mac HFS+ formatted storage via ASUS’ Linux-based wireless network products.

ASUS, one of the world’s largest technology companies with a global staff of more than 13,600 and a widely recognized research and development team, is renowned for advanced innovation and high-quality products including smartphones, tablets, computer and component offerings and more. ASUS has already integrated Paragon’s NTFS for Linux solution into all next-generation wireless network products including the ASUS RT-AC68U, AC66U, AC56U, N66U routers, and beginning with the ASUS RT-AC68U, now includes Paragon’s HFS+ for Linux driver as an important value-added feature.

“Our ASUS engineers have already seen the value that Paragon’s NTFS technology delivers across our product line, and we consider it to be one of the highest performance and reliable system driver solution on the market,” Tenlong Deng, vice president of Networking & Wireless Devices for ASUS. “We are very pleased to continue to utilize their technology to power our future wireless network products.”

Chosen by ASUS for its exceptional cross-platform support, Paragon’s Universal File System Driver (UFSD) technology enables full read/write access to Windows (NTFS format) and now Mac (HFS+ format) USB drives connected to ASUS Linux-based devices, solving a critical communication problem that exists due to the differences between Windows, Mac and Linux file systems. With Paragon UFSD technology, all users with smartphones and iPhones, tablets and iPads, notebooks, netbooks, Ultrabooks, Chromebooks, Macs and Windows PCs – regardless of their operating system – can stream, access and share data files and multimedia content to/from the USB drive via ASUS network products powered by Paragon.

“Paragon Software Group is pleased to extend and expand our partnership with ASUS to enable seamless communication between Linux-based devices and both Windows- and Mac-formatted USB drives,” said Tom Fedro, president for Paragon Software Group Corp. “We are committed to providing the highest levels of performance and reliability while breaking down the barriers to cross-platform communication, and we are proud to support ASUS’ success in this very competitive space.”

ASUS products powered by Paragon NTFS and HFS+ for Linux are now available in both new as well as existing models. For more information, visit http://www.asus.com.
