packetTrap RMM Upgrades Capabilities To Stay Ahead Of The Curve

Updates Include Dell Device Monitoring, Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 Compatibility

The latest version of packetTrap’s remote monitoring and management (RMM) platform is now available. With additional support capabilities, packetTrap introduces new features that offer the deepest network monitoring and management in the industry.  This allows Managed Service Providers (MSPs) better control over clients’ IT networks.

packetTrap RMM now fully supports Dell Devices with performance monitoring, traffic analysis and configuration backup. MSPs realize broader support for heterogeneous systems through a single solution that provides advanced visibility into network health, proactive analysis to minimize mean time to repair and business savvy optimization across all network devices.

MSPs that are interested in offering support for Windows 8 migrations can now do so with packetTrap RMM 6.7, creating a new revenue stream for MSPs. Windows 8 enables providers to gain control and better support end users by proactively minimizing issues. It is also easier to manage and support an end user’s mobile devices.

“The migration to Windows 8 has started and will increase as more small to mid-sized businesses explore its new features and user-friendly interface. MSPs should plan ahead to capitalize on the opportunities Windows 8 migration and ongoing management will provide,” said Matt Bolton, Manager, Network Management Division, Dell packetTrap. “With the latest version of packetTrap RMM we choose not to focus on partner or end user needs individually but took a holistic approach to providing a solution that takes everyone’s needs into account.”

The new release also helps end users optimize ROI from their VoIP monitoring solution with the addition of ShoreTel Alerts. The new VoIP capabilities enable packetTrap partners to customize service offerings and attract more customers through the ability to offer different levels of service. Using packetTrap RMM, MSPs can offer everything from basic alerts to real time notification and 24/7 alert support. Notifications are sent in real time across all customers and sites while automatically generating tickets through a PSA system. packetTrap RMM integrates seamlessly with packetTrap PSA for end-to-end IT management and business process automation. The result is a streamlined workflow that increases efficiency and allows MSP to better service customers while improving their bottom line.
