ObserveIT Expands Executive Team With CFO Peter Biro


Entrepreneur and Business Development Expert will Head Finance at ObserveIT Headquarters

ObserveIT, a leader in privileged user activity monitoring, has appointed Peter Biro to head the company’s finance team as Chief Financial Officer. He works in the company’s new Boston headquarters.

Mr. Biro joins ObserveIT from Restaurant Sciences (acquired by GuestMetrics LLC), where he served as vice president of business and corporate development and led the company’s efforts in channel partnerships, strategic alliances and product strategy.

Prior to Restaurant Sciences, Mr. Biro served as an entrepreneur-in-residence at General Catalyst Partners, and as chief operating officer of publicly-traded online marketing company Lyris Inc. (NASDAQ: LYRI). He also founded The Cowper Group, a management consultancy focused on mergers and acquisitions in IT infrastructure and service companies. He began his career in information technology on Wall Street.

Mr. Biro is an active entrepreneur and investor, and has backed and co-founded one of the largest franchise groups nationally for Five Guys Burgers and Fries. He holds an MBA from Stanford University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Duke University. Mr. Biro is a frequent speaker and lecturer in the entrepreneurship division at Babson College, and is active in several Boston-area nonprofit companies.
