New BDR Vendor Hits Event Circuit

I've been talking with Axcient, a young backup and disaster recovery (BDR) vendor for nearly a year, but I finally got the chance today, during the CompTIA Breakaway Vendor Showcase Fair, to sit and talk in-depth with Chris Sterbenc, VP of Sales for Axcient, about their move into the managed services space.

We discussed the vendor's focus on digging more deeply into the managed services space, and building a channel full of forward-thinking MSPs.

First, Chris shared with me some exciting integration news from Axcient, including their efforts with Level Platforms, N-Able, PacketTrap, itControl Suite, Autotask, and ConnectWise. He also shared that with their newest product roll-out – Axcient has added server virtualization to its hybrid BDR offering – it is ready to start focusing on its burgeoning channel. Chris, who is working on that effort, is looking for MSPs and has the subscription-based, hybrid solution that many in the IT business are looking for.
