NCC Partners With Mercury To Release EMV-Enabled Solution

NCC Continues Preparing Resellers for the Shift in Liability

National Computer Corporation (NCC), a leading software developer for retail and restaurant point of sale systems, has partnered with Mercury, a nationally recognized payment technology provider, to introduce a comprehensive semi-integrated EMV processing solution for the United States market. This new, EMV-enabled interface is available with NCC’s Reflection POS for Windows.

This EMV-enabled interface includes End to End Encryption (E2E) as well as the ability to accept payments made with NFC technology with apps such as ApplePay and Google Wallet. This solution will work seamlessly with NCC’s latest version of Reflection POS for Windows and can be utilized with the Verifone VX 805. What’s more, with the new, semi-integrated solution, sensitive card data will never touch the POS system, increasing security and safe guarding sensitive card holder information with technologies such as tokenization and, as previously mentioned, E2E.

Mercury’s new semi-integrated EMV solution for Reflection POS for Windows includes:

  • EMV Transaction Support – The ability to process in-store EMV transactions.
  • Card Data Encryption – Every card transaction is fully encrypted, never touching the POS system and reducing the risk of data compromise.
  • MToken Secure Tokenization Service—A unique token replaces sensitive card data and, in the event of a data breach, is unreadable to cyber thieves.

Chuck Prince, Vice President of Operations at NCC said, “We are honored and excited to partner with Mercury in order to deliver this semi-integrated EMV processing solution. We are always looking for ways to increase the security of Reflection POS and Mercury has given us the opportunity to do just that.”

“The new Mercury EMV integration now available on Reflection POS for Windows provides substantial security value to help merchants reduce the risk of data compromise and card present fraudulent transactions,” said Tom Reichart, Vice President of Business Development at Mercury. “Combined with Mercury’s End to End Encryption and Tokenization solutions, merchants have peace of mind in processing payment transactions allowing them to focus on their core business.”
