Comprehensive managed services platform continues to decrease IT complexity and allows businesses to scale at their own pace

Clearwater, Fla. – Almost 6,500 managed services providers are using GFI MAX RemoteManagement™, a 30% increase in just eight months, GFI Software™ today announced. This milestone indicates continued impressive growth in 2012 following the January announcement that the company had doubled its GFI MAX™ customer base to 5,000 in just two years.

With more than 500,000 engineer log-ins every month from customers in 125 countries worldwide, GFI MAX continues to build on its reputation as a major player in the MSP market and command an increasing share of channel sales. GFI MAX RemoteManagement’s success is attributed to providing a portfolio of software that helps MSPs grow their business by offering services that are easy to deploy and allow customers to pay as they go without fear of vendor lock-in.

More and more MSPs are eager to scale their business, boost recurring revenues and free up resources, and they are using GFI MAX to become more proactive and valuable for their customers’ businesses – with more than 2.5 million automated maintenance tasks and over 175 million monitoring checks running each month. In addition, nearly four million remote access sessions have been supported by GFI MAX’s Take Control feature, which providers use for 24/7 access to remote computers or servers without the need for a user at the customer’s site.

Additionally, the GFI MAX platform offers a number of services that prevent network problems from occurring by protecting against external security threats that could cripple a network and lead to theft of important company information. More than 500,000 threats are quarantined each month by GFI MAX Managed Antivirus. Meanwhile, GFI MAX MailProtection has stopped more than five billion spam messages from reaching customer networks over the past year.

GFI MAX’s recently launched Managed Online Backup service is also seeing huge uptake. This new service allows automated off-site file back up and easy restore to be included as part of the MSP’s service portfolio, managed centrally from the MAX MSP platform dashboard.

“We have seen a tremendous amount of growth in our GFI MAX customer base over the past six months alone, with interest from MSPs across the board – from large, established and ambitious MSPs to mid-sized MSPs making the Break/Fix to managed services transition as well as eager startups. From day one, we have been focused on not only providing the technology that our partners need to serve the demands of their customers, but also to provide those services on a platform that offers the greatest flexibility possible to fit the needs of companies of all sizes and business models,” said Dr. Alistair Forbes, general manager of the GFI MAX Business Unit. “Companies using GFI MAX pay only for what they use and are provided with the ability to scale up as their businesses grow. Our platform minimizes the amount of effort required for daily maintenance and allows our customers to focus on their own unique business goals.”

Forbes added: “As we continue to grow, we are focusing our energies on keeping in touch with our users. They are behind our success, and as a company we must never lose sight of them; in fact, our senior executives will be travelling extensively over the next few months to meet and discuss the future of GFI MAX with over 700 customers attending the upcoming GFI MAX customer conferences.”

The company will host four more conferences this fall in the U.S., UK, Germany and Australia. Over 700 businesses who are attending will have the chance to network with other GFI MAX users, share best practices, learn how to grow their businesses and build recurring revenue, view demonstrations of the MAX products, learn about the latest functionality and help shape the product roadmap. Industry recognition

GFI’s channel leadership was also recognized earlier this year when CEO Walter Scott and Dr. Alistair Forbes were named to the SMB 150 as two of the top 150 small and medium-sized business (SMB) professionals by SMBNation. The SMB 150 honors individuals who have made a significant impact on the worldwide SMB channel.
