Mercury Payment Systems Appoints New CFO, CIO

Integrated payment processor, Mercury Payment Systems, announces two new senior executives. Karsten Voermann, chief financial officer (CFO), and Brian Sadowski, chief information officer (CIO), have been brought on board to support the company's continued growth.

New CFO, Voermann, has comprehensive experience in finance, strategic consulting, and business development. Prior to Mercury, he led finance and operations at ContentGuard, Inc. and CPA2Biz, Inc. Voermann also held financial, corporate development, and strategy-focused positions at Microsoft Inc., Bain & Company and McKinsey and Company. Voermann holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Western Ontario and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. He is also a CPA.
New CIO, Sadowski, has 23 years experience working in information technology. His focus is positioning Mercury's technology as a competitive advantage and helping Mercury achieve its business goals by defining IT strategy and plans, implementing initiatives, and leading technology development and operations. He will use his command of enterprise architecture design and planning to ensure Mercury's technology is secure, scalable, and reliable. Prior to Mercury, he was the Chief Technology Officer with Xerox/ACS and TSYS Acquiring Solutions. Sadowski graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science degree in management information systems.
