The McDATA 6-port Fibre Channel Switch Module for IBM eServer BladeCenter enables the easy integration of BladeCenter into McDATA environments. This switch helps to enable blade server connectivity to new and existing McDATA SANs and delivers McDATA-capable fabric services. The McDATA switch delivers McDATA functions, performance, manageability, and scalability required by the most demanding SANs. It provides higher bandwidth connectivity (up to 24 Gb/s full duplex) between BladeCenter's server blades and SANs via 14 internal ports and 6 external ports. This expanded connectivity presents a diskless storage opportunity for the server architecture.
