Level Platforms Delivers Major New Features In Managed Workplace 2011 R2

New real time remote management tools, deep plug-in vendor integration and advanced warranty management among wave of enhancements

LPI Level Platforms Inc., a global leader in remote monitoring and management (RMM) software for solution and managed service providers (MSPs), has updated its flagship Managed Workplace 2011 platform with major new capabilities.

Enhancements to the multiple award winning RMM platform – which is available in both on premise and cloud versions – include a suite of Remote Tools that enable MSPs to address issues on end user systems in real time, without interrupting the workers using those systems.

Also introduced in this release is a new plug-in Service Module architecture which extends the comprehensive Policy Module monitoring concept pioneered by Level Platforms and sets the stage for a wave of new service innovation including a deeper level of integration with – and control of – leading third party vendor packages. The first of these modules, Symantec Backup Exec, is available now.

Network Audits provide MSPs with keen insight into the state of a client's or prospect's network, including all devices and applications. This release includes a prepackaged set of easy-to-run reports that allow MSPs to clearly demonstrate the value they can deliver to improve IT performance with their managed services offering.

Additionally, Managed Workplace 2011 R2 automates the collection of warranty information for Acer, Dell, Gateway, HP, Lenovo and Toshiba products and provides warranty-driven alerting and reporting so users can address technology obsolescence risks proactively, by either extending warranties or upgrading obsolete products.

Other new features include enhanced SNMP monitoring, new automation features to enable increased flexibility in script execution scenarios, new power management features and much more.

"We're always excited about a new release of Managed Workplace and the improvements and enhancements that it brings, but Managed Workplace 2011 R2 has generated a particularly large buzz thanks to some of the innovative new features it adds to its arsenal of monitoring and support abilities," said Andy Hanley, Blue Chip Data Systems. "In particular, the new remote tools are absolutely fantastic to an expletive-laden degree – they're a thing of beauty and already our favourite feature in 2011 R2."

"Managed Workplace 2011 R2 delivers a powerful mix of revenue generating service delivery features" said Peter Sandiford, CEO Level Platforms. "The warranty management features alone will create sales and service opportunities you won't find anywhere else. The integration with Symantec Backup Exec establishes an entirely new class of capabilities for Remote Monitoring and Management Software, extending the concept of Management to include not only traditional problem remediation but also the deployment and management of all key technologies from a single web-based Managed Workplace dashboard."

Level Platforms will be detailing Managed Workplace 2011 R2 at a virtual All Partner Meeting on Wednesday, August 17, 2011.
