L-1 Identity Solutions Extends Agreement With ID Networks To Include A Wider Range Of Live Scan Devices And Multi-Biometric Solutions

L-1 Identity Solutions, Inc. a leading provider of identity solutions and services, announced the Company has extended to 2012 its Value Added Reseller (VAR) agreement with ID Networks, a veteran records management and identification technologies provider for the criminal justice market. Under the extended agreement, privately-held and Ohio-based ID Networks will resell a broader range of L-1 live scan devices and facial and fingerprint biometric solutions to federal and state and local law enforcement agencies, including the ABIS System, a scalable, standards-based and easy to integrate multi-biometric back-end search platform. The agreement serves to broaden L-1's penetration into the domestic criminal justice and civilian markets though this important sales channel.

Under the terms of the new agreement, ID Networks will continue to distribute L-1's TouchPrint Enhanced Definition family of live scan products, including the compact TouchPrint Enhanced Definition 4100 Slap and Roll Live Scan. ID Networks will offer these live scan products for replacement and upgrade opportunities within its existing customer base, as well as new accounts.

Other products included in the contract are ABIS System, FaceIt Argus Facial Screening, FaceIt technology, single fingerprint readers, and FaceExaminer, a revolutionary, forensic application unique to L-1 Identity Solutions that helps to analyze, search and identify faces of wanted subjects taken from surveillance video where image quality is typically poor and subjects may not be directly facing the camera.
