Kodak Partners With Versitec On Advanced Unit Replacement Of Lower-Volume Document Scanners
Eastman Kodak Company today announced that Versitec, the service division of Cranel, Inc., a leading information technology solutions provider, will offer advanced unit replacement on most KODAK Workgroup and Departmental Document Scanners within the United States.
Through the agreement, Versitec will provide Kodak?s customers with next-day equipment replacement, significantly limiting both downtime and productivity disruption. That is good news for companies and government agencies of all sizes that are increasingly reliant on easy-to-use desktop scanners to help them better capture, manage, archive, and distribute critical business information.
"Versitec understands that the sale of a KODAK Product includes superior support and service," said Craig Wallace, vice president and general manager, Versitec. "With our more than 17 years of service and support experience in the document imaging industry, we believe our industry expertise and efficiency are valued by Kodak."
Versitec's staff has been trained and certified by Kodak to sell, service and support this Advanced Unit Replacement offering. Initially, Versitec will support Kodak's lower-volume portfolio from the KODAK i30 Scanner to the KODAK i80 Scanner, all of which contain many of the same robust features of Kodak's market-leading mid- and high-volume production scanners.
Versitec, the industry's largest and most technically advanced depot repair facility for both in-warranty and out-of-warranty products, will maintain an internal 24-hour support center specifically for KODAK Products.
"Versitec will help fulfill our stringent next-day requirement which provides our customers with a strong service and support offering that helps them maximize uptime and control costs," said Art Gable, Kodak's US&C regional service business general manager.
