Kodak Awarded GSA Contract To Provide Document Imaging Products And Services

Eastman Kodak Company today announced that it has been awarded a five-year contract through the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) to provide a variety of document imaging products and services to participating federal and state government offices.

This GSA Schedule expands the list of products and services that resellers of KODAK Document Imaging Products and Services can sell to government end-users. Through Kodak's GSA Schedule, a KODAK Authorized Imaging Reseller (KAIR) and other resellers of Kodak products who do not have their own GSA Schedules can sell directly to the federal government and to participating state agencies.

GSA Schedules, the primary buying vehicle for the federal government, offer government agencies and offices at the federal and state levels direct delivery of millions of state-of-the-art, high-quality commercial supplies and services at volume discount pricing.

"We are very excited about the tremendous opportunities presented by this contract," said Eli Petrova, Kodak's director of business development for federal markets. "It simultaneously reinforces our commitment not only to our channel partners by providing them with this new outlet but also our commitment to help government agencies better capture, manage, archive, and deliver critical information."

Kodak's document imaging products currently eligible for the GSA Schedule include:

  • KODAK i800 Series Scanners
  • KODAK DIGITAL SCIENCE Scanner 3520
  • KODAK i9600 Series Writers
  • KODAK i7300 Scanner
  • KODAK 2400DSV-E Digital Scanner-Printer
  • KODAK 3000DSV-E Digital Scanner-Printer
In addition to equipment, Kodak is eligible to provide offerings in several other categories, or Special Item Numbers (SINS), including: equipment maintenance, software, software maintenance, training, and professional services. These range from sales of capture software, to scanner installations, to film-to-digital conversions.

There are only two requirements for KAIRs and other resellers to participate in the program. First, they must sign an agent agreement with Kodak. Second, eligible agents must secure their own government sales. Agents receive commission for their sales, while Kodak processes the orders, stocks and ships the products, invoices the customers, and collects payments.
