Kaba Introduces The First And Only PACS Integrating Certified CHUID Readers Into Stand-Alone Locking Devices For FIPS 201 Smart Cards

Recently, Kaba Access Control introduces its E-Plex 5800 series which is the only stand-alone access control system approved by GSA to meet FIPS 201 requirements (PIV, PIV-I, TWIC, CAC, FRAC, etc.). The E-Plex 5800 series is on the FIPS 201 Approved Product List (APL) and is now available for shipment.

The CoreStreet Enabled E-Plex 5800 series incorporates a range of options and features to accommodate a wide variety of customer preferences and applications. The system can be as simple as enrolling FIPS 201 cards right at the reader without requiring any software, or using software you can check card validation against the Federal Bridge PKI, import photos, set access schedules, retrieve audit trail, etc.

The E-Plex 5800 series is an economical solution to online systems which may not be practical or affordable in many applications.
