Q: Can you explain when Analytics-as-a-Service could be a better option than an on-premises platform?
Ehrenthal: Analytics-as-a-Service offers many significant advantages over on-prem, especially for organizations that lack the resources (upfront costs), skill, or time to set up, configure, and manage their own data warehouse internally — and especially those that can auto scale in times of high demand or high processing. It is also a good option in environments where users are often mobile and still require access to business services. This is particularly true when an organization is looking to provide analytics to newer cloud-based applications that are already in the cloud and are already accessible from anywhere.
